My name is Brian Taylor. I am an expat living in Thailand for more than 20 years now. I work at a school called Bangkok Patana School. So, I was working at the school in a—in a meeting, and I had a severe chest pain underneath my rib cage, and I could not breathe. And so, then went straight to the local hospital as an emergency, and my wife came along. She said we—we should go to Bumrungrad, yeah.
So, the first doctor that I went to see was Dr. Suthichai, and he was super efficient, but he also listened and allowed me to explain in detail the pain map that I was having at that particular time. And having somebody that can be able to understand those things so that there's not necessarily a translation barrier really helped.
Dr. Chok is the lung specialist that I was assigned to after seeing Dr. Suthichai. And so, in my interactions with him, he's asking lots and lots of questions, which are very professional in the way that he delivers them, um, and he helped in terms of being able to try and eliminate some of the sources of what could—what the embolism could be.
What really impressed me about the hospital is when you—when you have a life-changing event like this, and you need to feel as though the people around you are taking it seriously, and they did. You know, there was action straight away after the diagnosis had occurred, and I was looked after from point A to point B through the whole process. In my experience of—of travelling around the world and being in different hospitals, this is a world-class experience. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to every single person at Bumrungrad that looked after me.
