I'm from Florida, USA. Had a very serious, acute onset 14 years ago, uh, was completely debilitated and immobile totally for about a month. Us tall guys usually have back problems, and—but, uh, you know, back when you're young, you think that the harder you push it, the better you build your body. And then, and you know, in those days, I was totally, uh, ignorant on the—the physiology, if you will, of what a disc is. And it's basically like a tyre. Once you wear out your disc, it's like a tyre that you just simply have to replace it.

Thank goodness for the internet. When—when I found out that Bumrungrad had the reputation and the skill set, the—the actual, uh, pioneering... It's what I was looking for because, uh, from what I went through after the fusion of L5-S1, I certainly didn't want a total, aggressive open surgery like that with a reconstruction, if you will—a structure that holds the vertebrae in place. I knew intuitively if there was a technology possible to simply get at that pathology—simple common sense—uh, why do more harm than you have to to simply fix the problem? The more I dug into Bumrungrad, and especially Dr. Verapan's [Dr. Verapan Kuansongtham, the more impressed I got with his training programs in many, many, many areas of the world.

[02:34] It's been absolutely wonderful. It is to me almost like a miracle, in the sense that you're out of a 14-year pain prison that, up until that time, changed your life completely. How do you thank somebody that had the intellect, the talent, and the determination to, you know, all of these years—maybe decades—of of him trying to perfect this technology? I wanted to make sure that Dr. Verapan knew that my gratitude goes to him. And now I feel, and it was, uh, you know, the best decision I made to come here to get this done. Like I've had the lower half of my body rebuilt and bolted back on brand new. I feel like I'm 30 years old again.
